Song Background

When I'm stressed, I pray!  In both good times and bad, we need to call upon the Lord for help.  The scriptural background for this song comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22, and Psalms 17:6.  

1 Thessalonians 5:16-22

"(16) Rejoice always, (17) pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (19) Do not quench the Spirit. (20) Do not despise prophecies, (21) but test everything; hold fast what is good. (22) Abstain from every form of evil."

Psalms 17:6

“(6) I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words.”

 

 

 

Call Home

The world is falling all apart,

The chaos is tearing up my heart,

It feels like there's no end in sight, Oh Lord! 

 

I think it's time to call home, Lord I'm calling out Your name tonight! 

You never leave me alone, I know that You will always make it alright! 

 

There's no need to hide, what I'm feeling inside my soul

'Cause You always provide, that's why I'm picking up the phone! 

 

I know that You can fix it all, 

There's nothing You haven't seen before,

Won't be long, 'till we see this all end, Oh Lord! 

 

I think it's time to call home, Lord, I need You to protect my soul! 

I'm not sure how to move on, we need to pray to find out which way to go!

I'll wait here until I see Your plan
