Song Background

This song is dedicated to the sovereign State of Israel, and the horrifying manner in which they were attacked by the terrorist organization Hamas on October 7, 2023 (Tishrei 22 on the Hebrew calendar).  I will never forget seeing the incredibly intense images on the nightly news as the events of that day unfolded, and the complete devastation of the villages and families who were attacked.  The entire world heard the cries of Israel as she mourned her dead… but rest assured, God will always protect his chosen nation.  On April 13, 2024 (Nisan 5 on the Hebrew calendar), Iran launched over 300 missiles and drones towards Israel in retaliation for their strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria.  While the press reported a stunning victory for Israel in that almost every missile and drone was shot down by Israeli defense systems and superior multi-country coordination of air assets, we know the real story as to how this was achieved… it was a miracle from God!
